Research and Innovation Pitch Fest Prize Distribution & 1 Crore Funding Highlights
The second edition of the Research and Innovation Pitch Fest took place on 8 December jointly by Rawalpindi Women University & Fatima Jinnah Women University at Rawalpindi Women University, celebrating the achievements of talented students, researchers, and emerging innovators from universities across Punjab. This event highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the startup ecosystem and encouraging youth-led innovation.
The event featured a well-organized prize distribution ceremony, supervised and led by Aun Muhammad Shah, who played a key role in managing the proceedings and ensuring smooth coordination.
Aun Shah personally distributed prizes to the winning students and teams, appreciating their innovative efforts and encouraging them to pursue their entrepreneurial goals.
The event is organized under the Direction of Minister of Education Rana Sikandar Hayat and aligned with the Vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the event aimed to empower students through recognition, financial support, and opportunity.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

Cyber Care Awarded 05 Million Funding
One of the standout moments of the event was the announcement that the startup Cyber Care received 05 Million PKR funding.
This support reflects the startup’s potential in cybersecurity innovation and highlights the government’s focus on promoting technology-driven solutions.
1 Crore PKR Total Funding Disbursement
A total of 1 Crore PKR was disbursed among promising student startups. This funding will help teams develop prototypes, conduct market research, and take their business ideas to the next stage.
The disbursement reinforces Punjab’s commitment to developing a strong culture of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship at the university level.
Students Appreciated Government Leadership
Students expressed deep appreciation for the Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, praising his efforts in creating opportunities for young innovators.
Participants also thanked the Government of Punjab and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their strong support, vision, and investment in student entrepreneurship.
